Arsenal will play away against Manchester United in the Premier League match, Sunday (9/3) evening. Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta emphasized that he is confident in facing the match at Old Trafford later.

Arteta praised Manchester United's character and heritage ahead of the game, while saying his side were high on confidence after their 7-1 Champions League win over PSV Eindhoven.

Arteta's side are currently second in the Premier League table, 13 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand and six points ahead of third-placed Nottingham Forest.

Don't Underestimate Manchester United

Despite being 21 points ahead of United in 14th place, the Spanish coach is not underestimating Ruben Amorim's team.

"United's history speaks for itself," Arteta was quoted as saying by Reuters.

"The players they have, the club they play for, they have a heritage of overcoming difficult situations. They are always a dangerous opponent, especially when you least expect it."

"Looking at their last game, you can see the character in their squad. They are more than capable of putting in a strong performance," Arteta added.

Arteta added that Arsenal will look to continue the positive momentum from their emphatic win over PSV.

"What happened was that we were very effective in the box and that is a great strength, especially in the Champions League, and that is why we won the game by a big margin," he said.

"The way we did it got everyone excited but unfortunately that's in the past. It's about what we do today, prepare for tomorrow and try to replicate the great performance again on Sunday," Arteta said.
